Fare change for 1st Class and RegioZone

Simplifying the purchase of your travel tickets

Planning a trip by train or bus? Good news: for a smooth experience buying your tickets and subscriptions is now easier, faster, and fully digitalized.

From now on, you can complete your purchase in just a few clicks via the CFL app or directly at the ticket vending machines available in stations and on platforms.

What’s changing?

New 1st Class Subscription

From December 1, 2025

• End of sales for short-distance annual 1st class subscriptions at CFL sales centers and in the CFL app.

From January 1, 2026

• Launch of a single 1st class subscription, available monthly or annually, valid on trains.

Available exclusively via the CFL app.

Prices:

• Monthly subscription: €60
• Annual subscription: €500
• Annual senior subscription: €200

RegioZone and Saarbrücken Express

From December 2, 2025

• End of sales for RegioZone tickets and subscriptions at CFL sales centers and on board buses.

Available only from ticket vending machines and through the CFL app.

From January 1, 2026

• Introduction of a single fare for cross-border bus journeys.

Available exclusively via ticket vending machines and the CFL app.

RegioZone Fares:

• Short-distance ticket: €3.00
• Long-distance ticket (Dagesbilljee): €5.00
• Monthly subscription: €40.00
• Annual subscription: €360.00
• Annual “Studentepass” subscription: €130.00

Saarbrücken Express Fares:

• Short-distance ticket: €5.00
• Long-distance ticket (Dagesbilljee): €9.00
• Monthly subscription: €85.00
• Annual subscription: €750.00
• Annual “Studentepass” subscription: €200.00
