Train Composition Display at the station
Enhancing the Passenger Experience
The updated passenger information system is now active at several stations, with additional upgrades planned across more locations in the near future. Platform displays now show the train composition before arrival, making boarding easier and faster for passengers.
Providing clear, consistent, and understandable information before, during and after the journey remains a key factor in perceived travel quality.
This innovation addresses an essential need:
providing clear, consistent, and understandable information throughout the entire journey — before, during, and after.
Co‑created with a panel of customers consulted in 2024, the new display now offers:
- the number of carriages making up the train
- the location of 1st and 2nd class seating
- areas reserved for persons with reduced mobility
- spaces dedicated to bicycles
Even more information coming soon:
The developments do not stop here. Train occupancy levels will soon be integrated into the display, allowing passengers to more easily identify available seats. This feature will also be included in the upcoming new CFL mobile app.
