Validity
The "short duration 1st class ticket" is valid for 2 hours after it is issued or validated, on the CFL railway network without any restrictions. The arrival time to take into account is the time at which the train should have reached the passenger's destination according to the timetable.
Tickets encoded on mKaart must be validated by the traveller before using it for the first time. Ticket validators are installed at stations and stops for this purpose.

The 1st class short-duration ticket book is only sold on the CFL mobile app.

The first ticket is valid upon purchase of the booklet. The remaining tickets must be validated before the start of the journey.

The "long duration 1st class ticket" is valid, after it is issued and encoded, on the CFL railway network in Luxembourg, without any restrictions, until 4:00 am the next day.
