The 5519 a.s.b.l. association, in partnership with the Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL), invites you to come and admire a piece of living history for an exceptional day open to everyone.

This steam locomotive, officially recognized as mobile historical heritage, has been carefully restored by 5519 a.s.b.l., a group of passionate volunteers dedicated to preserving railway heritage. Locomotive 5519 is one of the last of its kind still operational in Luxembourg. It stands as a testament to an era when steam ruled the rails—long before the railway network was electrified.

This event aims to raise public awareness about the preservation of Luxembourg’s railway heritage, while showcasing the engineering and technology of the steam era. It’s also a great opportunity for a shared experience across generations—blending the memories of the older generation with the curiosity of the young.
