The north of the country is full of idyllic landscapes combining relaxation in nature with a rich cultural heritage. You will find this setting in the Upper Sûre Nature Park with its wonderful lake, on the shores of which is a youth hostel in the village of Lultzhausen. Just 20 km from the Belgian border, this village in the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes offers an unparalleled experience. You can enjoy water sports such as canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. The hostel rents out equipment to its guests and members. Walking enthusiasts can venture out on the many hiking trails around the lake and in the neighbouring villages. There are many activities on offer to immerse yourself in a moment of discovery and zen. You can also visit the castle of Esch-sur-Sûre, located 5.5 km from the hostel, for a guaranteed pleasant stay.
Other discoveries await you close to the German border, in Vianden, a village with varied landscapes that leaves no one indifferent. Its medieval castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a captivating history for visitors of all ages. Located on the banks of the Our River, Vianden offers leisure activities that are well worth a visit, and even a stay at the Vianden Youth Hostel near the castle. This traditional residence, renovated in 2004, is ideal for both individual and group trips. In addition to the castle, there are walking and cycling trails for exploring the area. Don't miss the chairlift, which offers incredible views of the castle, and take home a souvenir photo.
