THE TRAM IN THE HEART OF THE CITY

After the inauguration of the first section between "Luxexpo" and "Rout Bréck-Pafendall" on 10 December 2017, the three additional stations "Theater", "Faïencerie" and "Stäreplaz/Etoile" are commissoned on 27 July 2018. Four new stations are put into operation on 13 December 2020: "Hamilius", "Place de Metz", "Paräisser Plaz/Place de Paris" and "Gare Centrale".

Since 11 September 2022, the tram network is expanded by two new stations: "Leschte Steiwer/Dernier Sol" and "Lycée Bouneweg".

The purpose of the tram is to fulfil the objectives of economic development and improve the living environment.
At the same time, to also contribute to the protection of the environment in Luxembourg City and the surrounding areas as well and serve the main transport hubs.

Currently, the tram runs between "Luxexpo" and "Lycée Bouneweg" to connect, at the end of the works, 24 stations and 9 exchange hubs on a route of 16 kilometers between Findel airport and the Cloche d'Or.
