Route description

This trail offers views of the old industrial area of Esch-Belval, the former heart of Luxembourg’s steel production. Today, Belval is a new economy and service hub where Luxembourg’s university can also be found.

After the first 3.5 km of this trail, it is possible to reach southern Luxembourg’s most modern station, Belval-Université. Towards the end of this route, just after the Belval-Redange station, hikers will have to deal with difference in altitude of well over 100m. This station, located close to the French border, serves the towns of Belvaux (L) and Redange (F).

This trail ends at Belvaux-Soleuvre station. Options for extending the route: CFL trails 24, Belvaux-Soleuvre – Belval-Université (4.2 km) or 27, Belvaux- Soleuvre – Oberkorn (4.9 km).
