Saarbrücken Express

The CFL Luxembourg – Saarbrücken express bus line (L40) connects Luxembourg City and Saarbrücken quickly and comfortably.

Saarbrücken Hauptbahnhof is an important hub for long-distance services and provides access to the “DB Fernverkehr” operated by Deutsche Bahn.

This connection allows you to continue your journey directly, or via Mannheim, to major German and European cities. Why not enjoy a trip to Berlin, Munich, Basel or Salzburg?

With a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, the bus line is also ideal for commuters and students travelling daily between the two stations.

For a smooth and convenient journey, we recommend purchasing your tickets or season passes via the CFL mobile app. Short- and long-term tickets are also available at CFL ticket machines located at Luxembourg station, near the bus platform or in front of the Sales Centre.

Good to know:

Children under the age of 12 travel free of charge when accompanied by a person aged at least 12 who holds a valid ticket. However, this free travel does not apply if the child’s entire journey takes place abroad. Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
