Before buying an annual season ticket "RegioZone" or annual supplement "Studentepass Regio" a customer account must be created with the Transport Community "Verkéiersverbond", using their mShop or by doing so at a station counter. To this end the customer must present an application form duly filled out along with a recent ID picture, not older then 12 month.
An official ID card (passport or driving license) of the beneficiary is also required.
The "RegioZone" and "Studentepass Regio" tickets are exclusively issued on a personalized "mKaart".

Annual season tickets and beneficiaries
Annual season ticket "RegioZone": all persons without distinction of nationality or age.
Annual supplement "Studentepass Regio": holders of "myCard élève" tickets, "Jumbokaarts" or student cards agreed by the "Verkéiersverbond".
The annual season ticket RegioZone and annual supplement "Studentepass Regio" are valid on all routes from validation until the same date the next year at 4.00 am.
Example: An annual season ticket RegioZone validated on 20 January 2017 is valid until 20 January 2018 at 4.00 am.
The validity of the initial season ticket need not necessarily be the same as on the supplement, but the two tickets must be valid when travelling.

Loss and damage
In case of loss or deterioration of a personalized mKaart, a duplicate can be delivered against a perception of a 25 € fee for the remaining period of validity by presenting following proofs:
- Loss of a personalized mKaart: a declaration of lost from the police
- Deterioration of a personalized mKaart: please join the concerned ticket
If a personal mKaart becomes unreadable and unusable for unknown reasons (for example technical problems) the fee will not apply.
