The CFL take you to the Christmas markets

Would you like to travel to a Christmas market in Luxembourg or in the Greater Region? Then travel stress-free without worrying about traffic jams or the winter weather and use CFL trains.

In Luxembourg

Visit the different Christmas markets throughout the country, for example in Luxembourg (from 24/11 to 23/12), in Esch-sur-Alzette (from 18/11 to 23/12), in Dudelange (from 08/12 to 17/12) or in Differdange (from 08/12 to 23/12). Take advantage of our long duration ticket (Dagesbilljee) which is valid one day for unlimited travel at only €4.

In Germany

How about a trip to a Christmas market in Germany? The journey to Trier (from 27/11 to 22/12), takes 45 minutes by train and the return ticket (Tagesrückfahrkarte) costs €9.60. To travel to Saarbrücken (from 21/11 to 23/12), you can use the Luxembourg-Saarbrücken-Express: this bus goes to Saarbrücken 13 times a day, and the ticket costs €16.

You can also visit the typical Christmas markets in Koblenz (24/11 to 22/12) and Cochem (24/11 to 17/12). With our Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket-Plus-LU you can take advantage of attractive fares and you can travel to Cochem and Koblenz comfortably.

In France

The journey to Thionville (Christmas parade on 16th December) only takes 21 minutes, and the price is €13.40 in 2nd class ('Luxembourg–Lorraine 1 jour'). A trip to Metz (from 18/11 to 30/12) takes 47 minutes and a ticket costs €21.60. For Nancy (from 24/11 to 30/12), the price is €28 and the journey takes 1 hour and 28 minutes. Passengers wanting to travel by TGV to the Strasbourg Christmas market (from 24/11 to 30/12)  in 1 hour and 38 minutes can purchase a return ticket from €30.00.

In Belgium

The train journey to Liège (from 24/11 to 30/12) takes 2 hours and 27 minutes, or to Brussels Central (from 24/11 to 31/12), 3 hours and 13 minutes. The special 'Escapade' fare is €50 for one person, €71 for two people, and only €92 for three people.
