Rail Infrastructure logistics centre (CLIF)

The Infrastructure logistics centre (CLIF), located along the shunting tracks of Bettembourg station, has two tasks: managing central storage for railway infrastructure and managing work trains.

Central storage consists of a 28.000 m² exterior storage area and two depots of 2.700 m², allowing storage away from adverse weather conditions.

To put together work trains, the CLIF has 24 engines to its disposal, 20 of which are equipped with cranes. Maintenance of engines, observation of applicable driving rules and regulations, organising and following up training for engine drivers, making engines and drivers available according to demand, as well as analysing interventions to learn from them and improve services are all covered by CLIF agents.
