Rail Freight Corridor 2 has started operations

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg plays an important role in the European Rail Freight Corridor which connects the North Sea ports to centres of economic activity in southern Europe.

 

The Rail Freight Corridor 2, which runs through the Luxembourgish network and is connected to Bettembourg multimodal terminal, started its operational activities on 10th November 2013. The Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (Luxembourg Railways, CFL) and the Administration des Chemins de Fer (Luxembourg Railway Security Authority, ACF) are among the Corridor 2 partners.
