On 28 April, several classes of the Ecole de Commerce et de Gestion and Lycée Technique Bonnevoie visited the intermodal terminal in Bettembourg. The visit took place within the framework of the "Logistics Day", organised by the Cluster for Logistics in Luxembourg.
The morning was divided in two parts – indoor presentations and demonstrations in the field. During the presentations, Ronny Wolff of the Cluster for Logistics described the existing logistics activities in Luxembourg. Then Sylvia Notarnicola gave a presentation on CFL multimodal group and its activities, while emphasising the jobs in logistics represented in the company. During the second part of the day, the students could go outside and take a close look at the everyday work done by the teams on the rail motorway platform and container terminal.
In the evening, a conference, organised by the Cluster for Logistics at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, was aimed at the various players involved in the logistics industry and took place in the presence of Luxembourg Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure François Bausch. Presentations by experts, including from Alain Krecké of CFL multimodal and Erdin Erengül of Turkish partner Mars Logistics, marked the end of the "Logistics Day 2014".
