Dudelange, March 8th 2019 - CFL intermodal, a subsidiary of the CFL multimodal group, is expanding its combined train network. Ghent and Valenton complete the service offer of CFL intermodal from Bettembourg and the number of weekly trains on Zeebrugge is increased.
As from March 11th 2019, CFL intermodal is launching a new rail line between the intermodal terminal of Bettembourg-Dudelange and the Ghent terminal. The train will run with 5 round trips per week and provide rail connections to Lyon (FR), Le Boulou (FR) and Turkey via the port of Trieste (IT). The Scandinavian markets can be reached via sea, departing from the Ghent terminal.
In parallel, the frequency of intermodal trains between Bettembourg and Zeebrugge will rise from 3 to 5 round trips per week which will increase the number of trains on the rail connections to Lyon (FR), Le Boulou (FR) and Turkey via the port of Trieste (IT).
As from March 15th 2019, CFL intermodal is also launching a new rail line connecting the intermodal terminal of Bettembourg to Valenton.
